MasterClass Food Plating by chef Rui Mota
Immersive, creative and technical training for those who want to master the art of plating.
Based on principles of design, visual composition and creative thinking, this masterclass takes participants on a complete journey - from theory to practice, with professional accompaniment from a chef specialising in fine dining.
It will be a unique opportunity to explore, manipulate and communicate with food in a visually impactful and functional way. The programme includes technical demonstrations, design exercises, plate planning and creative staging with a final photographic record.
About the chef:
Chef Rui Mota is a multidisciplinary gastronomic creator with a focus on culinary innovation, sustainability and sensory experiences. With over 12 years' experience, he specialises in alternative cuisines, contemporary mixology and functional pastries.
He trains at institutions such as the Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism and the Faculty of Food Sciences at the University of Porto. He collaborates with brands such as Rum Diplomรกtico, Cigala, the European Commission and Sogrape on training, showcooking and product development projects.
Awarded by the National Young Creators Exhibition and the University of Lisbon, Rui combines rigorous technique with creativity, promoting immersive, ethical and identity-driven gastronomic experiences.
