The street is ours - São Domingos de Rana
Enjoy the street safely as a family and give your input on your street or neighbourhood. The ‘Street is Ours’ action works as an urban laboratory for experimentation, with participatory workshops presented in a playful way:
City Workshop: Proposals for improvements/transformations to the closed street, suggestions for other streets to close, and answers to questions about the project.
Co-Design Workshop: Providing cork moulds to play with, allowing children to build street furniture and express their preferences for the public space.
Urban transformation workshop: Through visual arts or the painting of traditional games in the streets, children and young people are invited to paint a mural and use the tarmac as a canvas for expression so that the right to the city is eternalised in the public space.
The Street is Ours is an action that is part of the Child-Friendly Cities Programme and ensures the Right to Play, the Right to Participation and the Right to the City.
