Yakalakaya: Performance by Cabuenha Janguinda
Come and feel Angola in motion!
Inspired directly by the universe of "Yakalakaya" (a cultural project that celebrates the richness of Angola's heritage through literature, oral tradition, music, dance and martial arts), this unique performance invites us to a sensory dive in which all the senses take part. Sight, touch, smell, taste and hearing are summoned as gateways to poetic states of perception.
Through ritual movements, organic sounds, scents-territory and tactile stimuli, the performing body becomes a mediator between visible and invisible worlds, dialoguing with the symbolic fields explored in Tiago Serpa's work, on display in the Um Corpo exhibition.
After the performance, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition, also in dialog with the audience and led by Tiago Serpa.ย
