Description

‘You wait. Because you're still afraid. Because you still don't know what's at the top of the mountain. Because deep down you still don't understand what the mountain is.’

The Mountain is the story of a woman as she faces the long climb to the top of a mountain, which is not just a mountain. An impactful and delicate show about domestic violence, with text and staging by Manuel Jerónimo, performance by Juana Pereira da Silva, images by Isabel Medeiros and music by Rosa Leão.

Through a challenge issued to director Manuel Jerónimo by the Municipal Forum against Domestic Violence in Cascais, in the form of a show, it now takes to the stage of the Carlos Avilez Auditorium for the first time on 25 November, as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The performance will be followed by a debate on the subject of domestic violence with the presence of the director, an actress, a representative of the victim support service in Cascais and moderated by a representative of the Municipal Forum against Domestic Violence in Cascais.

Registration: HERE - Enrolment is limited to the number of seats in the room.
