Description

In this talk, we will explore the essential role of whales and dolphins in preserving our planet and fighting climate change. We'll discover how these ocean giants play crucial roles in marine ecosystems, from maintaining the health of the oceans to storing large amounts of carbon.

The session will also cover the life cycle of whales, which contributes to the fertilization of the seas by promoting the proliferation of phytoplankton, one of the largest absorbers of CO₂ on the planet. As well as highlighting the ecological importance of whales, we will also present the methods and technologies that scientists use to study these animals in their natural environment, revealing how drones and other tools are essential to understanding and protecting these beings.
