‘Equine Legacy Project’ photo exhibition
The Equine Legacy Project aims to raise awareness of endangered horse breeds, which represent 33 per cent of the world's equine population. Documented by a photographer, writer and cameraman - Minh Dan Vu - this project highlights seven endangered breeds from various parts of the world, each representing centuries of culture, tradition and resilience.
From the hardy Sorraia horse, which helps fight forest fires in Portugal, to the courageous Marwari horse, originally from the deserts of Rajasthan in India, the equine world is wonderfully diverse, with breeds that have unique characteristics moulded over the centuries. Many have rich histories and play a vital role in preserving cultural heritage.
