Insect monitoring methods, by Tagis
Insects are the group of living beings with the greatest diversity of known species on our planet, yet they are in sharp decline. In Portugal, this decline is still not well known due to the lack of monitoring programmes. In this action, we'll give you a practical introduction to some standardised methodologies for monitoring the main groups of insects.
Theoretical component (1h30):
- Introduction to the main insect groups
- Presentation of different monitoring methodologies (transects and traps)
Practical component (1h30):
- Practical demonstration of the methodologies in the Quinta de Rana Urban Park.
