August in the Neighbourhoods
The August in the Neighbourhoods Project is promoted by Cascais City Council in partnership with the Helpo Association and the Portuguese Red Cross - Estoril Coast, in collaboration with the Residents' Associations of Alcoitão, Adroana, Cruz Vermelha, Zambujal and Rana and Atrozela neighbourhoods.
The programme includes children aged 6 to 12 living in the municipality of Cascais, and registration is available at the associations mentioned.
August in the Neighbourhoods will take place between 4 and 29 August with the aim of promoting the physical and emotional well-being of children/young people, creating healthy lifestyle habits, stimulating socialisation and group spirit, developing personal and social skills and also providing moments of creative and active leisure. There will be various activities both in the Residents' Associations and on the beaches and public parks of the Cascais Municipality, as well as activities in other recreational places outside the municipality, such as Water Parks and Badoca Park.
