Botanical illustration course at the Orchid Garden: “Flipbook of an orchid,” at Marechal Carmona Park
The Cultural and Educational Service continues its workshops on botanical drawing in the former orchid house at Marechal Carmona Park, aimed at anyone who wants to deepen their observation, drawing, and creative interpretation of the plant world.
Each proposal accompanies participants in a process of technical and artistic development, combining the study of a botanical species with the completion of a final project.
In April and May, there will be room for poetic and sequential exploration of the plant world through the creation of an illustrated flipbook. Starting from the observation of an orchid, we develop an animation, image by image, where the flower transforms, changes color, and moves.
This workshop explores the techniques of graphite drawing, Indian ink, liquid watercolors, and colored pencils.
