On Stage | A Staged Reading of “Exemplary Girls”
Description
Event held as part of the International Museum Day.
Paulo Reis, actor and playwright, returns to the House to explore some of the exemplary — or perhaps not so exemplary — girls and women rescued by Paula Rego in her drawings and prints, inspired by the tales of the Countess of Ségur.
Moving through a number of series that establish deep connections with literature and poetry, this staged reading wanders through the exhibition galleries, inviting participants to step into the skin of these characters.
All audiences (ages 6 and above) | 60 minutes | Up to 30 participants (subject to room capacity; itinerant reading through selected exhibition rooms)
