29th edition of the Cascais Surf for Employability Program
The Cascais Surf for Employability Program aims to promote the employability of young people and adults who are unemployed or looking for their first job.
Surfing is the core tool that, combined with others, will support participants in designing and achieving their personal and professional goals, enhancing their skills and technical know-how across various potential work contexts in the surfing industry.
The program takes place in person at Nova SBE in Carcavelos, with surfing lessons held at Carcavelos Beach.
Over the course of 5 weeks, it includes the following activities:
- Weekly Surf and Yoga Classes;
- Individual Coaching – Support for Personal and Professional Development;
- Group Coaching – Support for Personal and Professional Development;
- Training Sessions in the areas of: Economics, Accounting and Finance, Communication and Marketing, Active Job Search, Management and Planning, Entrepreneurship.
The five-week cycle concludes with two days of reflecting on skills and unique experiences in a session called Deep in the Ocean (to be determined).
After the program ends, participants can also benefit from 16 weeks of mentoring to develop their project.
