Description

Bringing together a distinguished panel of national and international experts, the conference explores the importance of play as a right, a social practice, and an essential dimension of democracy, drawing contributions from the fields of education, childhood, social action, inclusion, community, territory, health, sport, and ageing. Among the invited speakers are Peter Gray and Carlos Neto, both widely recognised for their work in the areas of free play, human development, and education. This initiative is part of the municipality’s Local Policy for Lifelong Play strategy and positions Cascais as a leading territory in this field.

Over the years, the Câmara Municipal de Cascais has consistently highlighted the importance of play and strengthened its commitment with local communities by recognising play as an act of citizenship, autonomy, expression, and participation.
