Vote DHr Course: Democracy, Human Rights and Participation
How can we contribute to a more informed, engaged and aware community, conscious of its rights and responsibilities?
Join the Vote DHr - Democracy, Human Rights and Participation course and strengthen your understanding of public participation and active citizenship. Certified by the Centre for Social Studies (CES), University of Coimbra, this course is free of charge for residents, workers and students in the Municipality of Cascais.
Designed for teachers, community leaders and the general public, the course comprises 50 hours of learning delivered across 11 sessions in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online) between November and December. The programme combines synchronous sessions, independent study and study visits.
Advance registration is mandatory.

The course will be delivered by Carla Luís, Coordinator of the Vote DHr - Elections, Democracy and Human Rights Project at the Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. It follows a practical and participatory approach, combining presentations, debate, case studies, educational games, a study visit and the sharing of tools that participants can apply in their personal and professional contexts.
The training is fully certified by the Centre for Social Studies (CES) under the applicable legal framework governing Associated Laboratories in Portugal.
