In keeping with tradition, Christmas in Cascais comes to enchant all who visit during this special season.

CASCAIS CHRISTMAS ON TOUR | The main figures of Christmas will travel around the four parishes of the municipality, spreading the magic of Christmas to all Cascais residents. The Christmas Bus, equipped with a snow cannon and always playing songs alluding to the season, runs for 9 days: November the 23rd, 24th and 30th and December the 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th and 21st.

GIANT WHEEL AND VENIZIAN CARROSSEL | In Cascais Bay, the largest Ferris wheel in Portugal will once again be a highlight, offering breathtaking views over the town and the sea. The traditional Venetian carousel will also be a special attraction, with the novelty that it will consist of two floors.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS | In the heart of Cascais, everyone is invited to the Christmas Market, which runs from November 23rd to January 5th and where you can sample traditional sweets, special liqueurs and hot drinks. The market also features around 50 brands, allowing visitors to do their Christmas shopping here. Opening hours - November 23rd to January 5th from 12:00pm to 10:00pm. Exceptions: December the 24th and 31st from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, December 25th is closed, and January 1st, 2025 from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.

LIGHTING AND SHOPPING | From 6:00pm on November 23rd, the streets of Cascais will shine brighter with the inauguration of the Christmas lights. The municipality's store windows will also shine from November 21st with the 4th edition of “Montras de Natal” (Christmas Storefronts), which will make Cascais' stores more beautiful.

SOLIDARITY TREE |The “Solidarity Tree” project, which involves more than 30 residents' associations and institutions in the municipality, consists of collecting second-hand toys that are in good condition and then distributing them to the children of the neediest families. From November 8th, residents can leave their gifts at the Residents' Associations' Solidarity Trees and make many children's Christmas a little more colorful.
