Launch of the book “Crónicas de Cascais” (Chronicles of Cascais), by Guilherme Cardoso
In this book of chronicles by Guilherme Cardoso, a historian and ethnoarchaeologist who has dedicated part of his life to studying, safeguarding, and promoting the cultural heritage of our municipality, the history of stones, buildings, and artifacts is combined with that of festivals, traditions, people, and crafts in a fruitful dialogue between the past and the present that offers the reader a new perspective on the evolution of our land. The chronicles gathered here invite the reader on a more intimate tour of the places, traditions, and characters that have shaped the identity of Cascais.
The book will be presented by Professor José d’Encarnação.
