Local Heritage Routes | Cascais' Underwater and Maritime Cultural Heritage
Knowledge and appreciation of Cascais' rich underwater cultural heritage are fundamental to preserving the memory and identity of a community deeply connected to the sea.
On this tour, we propose a trip along the municipality's coastline aboard the salt galleon “Estou para Ver” (I'm here to see), where we'll learn about shipwrecks, identify underwater archaeological sites and understand the connection between history and social structures and maritime ecological systems.
