“The fan, an object of seduction”, workshop-visit at the Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum
On this workshop visit, we'll see and look at oriental and European fans, dating from between the 18th and 20th centuries, which are part of the Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum's collection.
In the 18th century, the fan was already an instrument of female adornment. In the following centuries, it became an object of seduction with its own language, which facilitated communication between young people and adult couples.
