European Heritage Days in Cascais
Cascais is once again taking part inย the European Heritage Days celebrations, which this year run from 18 to 27 September under the theme chosen by the European Council and the European Commission: โRevive, Resist, Reinventโ.
In a changing world, marked by environmental, social and cultural challenges, the initiative invites us to take a closer look at the importance of understanding, valuing and safeguarding our collective heritage. In Cascais, this call for participation and active citizenship takes the form of a diverse, decentralised and free cultural programme.
Throughout these days, the townโs cultural venues will open their doors to experiences for different audiences, bringing together tangible and intangible heritage, history, art, science and memory. A varied programme suitable for all ages invites visitors to explore Cascais from new perspectives and to discover a legacy from the past and a source of inspiration for the future.
