Description

Cascais is hosting the International Ocean Film Tour, considered one of Europe’s leading festivals dedicated to documentary films about the oceans and adventure.

On October 10, at the Rei D. Carlos Maritime Museum, five international documentaries filmed in locations such as South Africa, Scotland, and Hawaii will be screened.

The audience will embark on a journey through real-life stories of exploration, conservation, and overcoming challenges, highlighting the connection between people and the ocean. Much more than just a movie screening, the festival offers an inspiring experience that combines adventure, excitement, and environmental awareness.

Through unique moments and stories, we invite the most curious and enthusiastic among you to immerse yourselves in the wildest and deepest corners of our planet.

Produced by “Moving Adventures GmbH,” the International Ocean Film Festival was launched in Portugal and Spain by the Canarian production company “Kinema Producciones,” with the goal of promoting the protection, defense, and conservation of the oceans and coastlines.

This year’s program features several short films, with a total running time of approximately 120 minutes. Added to this are the program’s moderation and the presence of a special guest at each event, rounding out the experience to about two and a half hours.
