Youth Orchestra Guide, concert by the Cascais Symphony Orchestra
The Cascais Symphony Orchestra’s “Orchestra Guide for Youth” concert focuses on future generations.
On October 10, at 5:00 p.m., at the Senhora da Boa Nova Auditorium in Estoril, join us for an event of great educational significance.
The Cascais Symphony Orchestra opens its doors to students who have studied at the Cascais Conservatory and to students from the Slovak Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts, Jána Levoslava Bellu—currently Erasmus students at the Cascais Conservatory—giving them the opportunity to perform alongside the orchestra’s principal members.
The repertoire has an educational focus, bringing together works that appeal to families and young people of various ages, with special emphasis on Britten’s magnificent work, in the year marking the 50th anniversary of his passing. This piece serves as an open lesson on symphonic orchestration.
The concert also features a young soloist, trained at the Cascais Conservatory, who is already pursuing a professional career in music.
