Description
From a very young age, António Lopes (Tony) realized that he had a calling to paint. However, at the age of 13 he started working as a hairdresser and, shortly afterwards, this professional activity was joined by a bank job, a situation that forced him to postpone his talent as a painter.
After retiring from the bank, and even without leaving his job as a hairdresser, he found the time to dedicate himself body and soul to painting, specifically oil painting, as a self-taught artist. At the end of the 1970s, he attended the studio of Master Aníbal Lopes in Cascais.
