“Salute America”, concert by the Cascais Symphony Orchestra
In this concert by the Cascais Symphony, we travel through American lands with works by Cole Albert Porter, Maurice Ravel and Aaron Copland. We hear “Salute” and the influence of jazz on Marvel's work, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the French composer's birth, while we meet the famous suite of dance songs by Aaron Copland, a renowned American author who composed for films and about American life.
The concert introduces us to the sounds of percussion, rhythm and melody, at a time when we can already glimpse the first days of spring.
