“Loucas, não como as outras” (Crazy, not like the others) is an outspokenly feminist show, a very entertaining piece of cabaret theater in which serious things are talked about with laughter.
“Loucas, não como as outras” is a very humorous foray into the territory of the queer man and the social construction of his masks, his insecurities and fears - which give rise to machismo, racism, marital lies, the difficulty of accepting his own incongruities and the difference of the other - played by three women who claim for themselves the freedom to be different from the well-established social conventions of gender.
Staged by Gisela Cañamero, it features the performances of actresses Inês Romão, Maria Inês Brás and Sara Castanheira.
