CARMEN returns to Portugal with the Hesperian Symphony Orchestra.
Bizet's great opera returns to the stage of the Casino Estoril on 7 May.
Considered one of the most performed operas in the world, Carmen continues to captivate audiences of all ages, portraying the story of a fascinating and rebellious woman who defies the conventions of society. Carmen, a seductive gypsy, wins over the soldier Don José, leading him to abandon everything for her. However, their impossible and possessive love turns tragic when José finds himself consumed by jealousy and obsession. With iconic characters and memorable arias such as the ‘Habanera’ and the ‘Toreador Song’, ‘Carmen’ is a work of passion, freedom and destiny.
