Views in Color: Group Painting Exhibition by the Murtal Association of Retirees and Seniors
The exhibition brings together a collection of works created by students in the painting classes of the +65 program, sponsored by the Union of Parishes of Carcavelos and Parede and held at ARIM—the Association of Retirees and Seniors of Murtal.
Since 2023, under the guidance of instructor Daniel Lorena, participants have been developing skills in drawing and painting, exploring different techniques and discovering increasingly personal forms of artistic expression.
The works now on display reflect this learning journey, marked by dedication, creativity, and the joy of creating. Each painting conveys a unique perspective, revealing that art is a space for discovery, growth, and sharing at any stage of life.
As part of the celebrations for the International Day of Older Persons (October 1) and World Senior Citizens’ Day (October 28), this exhibition celebrates not only the talent and commitment of its creators but also the value of lifelong learning, active aging, and culture as a source of personal and community enrichment.
