Los Típicos de Alfama in Concert
The cloister of the Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães, a historic mansion turned museum on the edge of Cascais Bay, hosts an afternoon of Latin American music with Los Típicos de Alfama.
This ensemble blends vocals, guitar, percussion, bandoneón and saxophone, drawing on Brazilian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Argentinian influences. Since 2024, the group has played boleros and Cuban music every week in a bar in Alfama, Lisbon's oldest and most traditional neighbourhood.
The musical journey starts in Cuba, moves on to Mexico and travels through Brazil and Colombia, taking in the whole of Latin America along the way.
Expect a romantic, heartfelt and relaxed atmosphere, with a mix of languages and styles that is sure to charm the audience.
