What I Want to Tell You: Portraits by André Pereira
In the @oquetequerodizer project, André writes unique portraits of strangers while sitting at a table with a typewriter. Across from him sits whoever wants to receive a portrait. André observes the person and, without exchanging a word, writes what he wants to say to them in a typewritten poem.
André doesn’t know who he is. He has a cat and a dog, even though he no longer has the dog and never had the cat. He writes for the theater, for television, and for bookstore shelves. He also writes on the street, on a typewriter, and for strangers. André knows what he does; he doesn’t know who he is.
