A Life of Friendship – Season 2 in Portugal
Following the overwhelming warmth shown by Portuguese audiences at its Portuguese premiere, “A Life of Friendship” returns to the stage for a much-anticipated second season, bringing the unforgettable Gilda, Yasmin and Renée back to the stage.
In this comedy, three long-time friends reunite and, amidst amusing conversations, memories and confessions, take a candid look at their lives, their choices and the paths that have brought them to where they are today. Each has a different outlook on life: Gilda faces the challenges of an unexpected recovery, Yasmin always seeks to understand all sides of a situation, and Renée maintains a practical and realistic approach to events.
With plenty of humour and emotion, the play challenges the stereotypes associated with women over 40, celebrating their strength, independence, beauty and vitality. The dialogue tackles universal themes such as friendship, ageing, dreams, disappointments and the importance of continuing to live life to the full at any stage of life.
Written by Gustavo Pinheiro and directed by Fernando Philbert, this new season of “A Life of Friendship” promises to move, entertain and win over Portuguese audiences once again.
