The Yellow Star Company, run by Carla Matadinho and Paulo Sousa Costa, presents “Pizza Man”.
The scene takes place in Júlia’s flat in Oeiras, on a hot summer’s night. Júlia has had a bad day at work. Her boss tried to make a pass at her, but she turned him down. She then received a letter of dismissal along with her pay. Júlia, who is now out of work, penniless and disillusioned, starts drinking and playing music very loudly to forget her pain.
Meanwhile, her friend Alice, with whom she shares the flat, arrives during a binge-eating fit – she just wants to eat. Her boyfriend had gone back to his wife. If Júlia drinks, Alice eats to forget. So Júlia suggests they need to take action to let off steam for all the frustrations caused by men: they should pick a lad, any lad… and take advantage of him.
As they’d ordered a pizza, the man delivering it seems like a good target. Guga, the pizza delivery boy, agrees to have a beer with his two female friends. The night starts to get wilder, increasingly out of control, angry and very, very fun.
